Synopsis:
Synposis

Based on a True Story from 1965:

Eleven year old David intends to run...to run like the wind. He doesn't know how or when but he is absolutely certain that it will happen, even though he is confined to a wheelchair with muscular dystrophy.

Hyperactive Lyle Hatcher wants Sharon Ann, whatever that means to a ten year old. Since her former beau is the undefeated champion in the science fair, Lyle believes he can win her over with a blue ribbon and a giant bug collection. But he needs the Wizzard XL-2000 Label-Maker that lives in David's basement.

Using memorized quotes from the Jack LaLanne Show, Lyle convinces David that he knows a secret method that will enable him to run again, and a pact is made.

Oblivious to the conventional wisdon that there are no second chances, this unlikely pair embarks on a journey of discovery, adventure and risk. And when Lyle begins to twist the rules in a desperate attempt to give his friend some of his excess energy, they come face to face with life's most inspiring and painful truths.

Thanks for your interest in Overture. Currently, I am in the early planning stages. The producer Barbara Freeman is attached. For this project, Barbara would be working as a line producer. However, I am looking for a producer who would help with funding.

Just to let you know a little about the project. OVERTURE is an Romance Drama about a talented, 19-year-old musician, Aaron, who has developed stage fright after being taught by his domineering, overly critical mother. Aaron goes to a competitive music school and soon learns that he has to perform in public to pass an important class. His roommate and his student advisor try to help Aaron overcome his fears. However, a romantic triangle forms among them, which leads to conflict and betrayal.

I do firmly believe that Overture's strong underdog story will attract a wide audience. The film has a budget of $1.5 million.
