Film update

There’s always a lot going on in the film world in our region. This week, Charlotte Regional Film Commission Director Beth Petty is in California meeting with producers from Paramount, LionsGate, HBO and other moviemakers. On Wednesday, she’ll be joining the North Carolina Film Office and Gov. Bev Perdue for a reception.

Two independent films are set to start pre-production soon in the Charlotte region, and two more reality shows are heading to town. Our region seems to have become the reality show epicenter lately.

Beth assisted director Tim Vogel with locations for “Careful What You Wish For,” which was shot in Cornelius from November 22 through the 24th. The Christian short film will be heading to film festivals.
