Hello all at IP,

There is a funny interview of myself on the set of REPO CHICK, on youtube.com. Search REPO CHICK video, enter: Del Zamora. REPO CHICK will have its World Premiere at this year's Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy on September 8th, 2009 at 8 p.m. local time. I am supposed to walk the RED CARPET and attend all photo calls. I am one of the lead actors. Executive Producer: David Lynch. Writer/Director: Alex Cox.

Due to financial circumstances, I am unable to afford the flight to Italy. The festival will put me up in a nice hotel for a few days, but I am responsible for my own flight. We made REPO CHICK under the SAG ultra low budget for 200k. All actors made $100 per day. Thus, even though we are the lead actors, very few of us can afford to attend the festival. Oh, well.

REPO CHICK may make its US premiere at AFI Fest in Hollywood in late September. Will keep you advised. REPO CHICK is the long awaited quasi-sequel to REPO MAN, which I also starred in, back in 1984. Alex Cox, the writer/director of REPO MAN and REPO CHICK, gave me my big break in REPO MAN, back in 1983. I have worked with Alex Cox on 9 of his movies. 8 as an actor and 1 as a score composer. He is a good friend and confidant. GOOD LUCK on the RED CARPET Alex!

In a few weeks, I will begin pre-production on my movie, "The Last Brown Beret", starring Robert Beltran. I am the writer/director/producer. We will be looking for Chicano/Mexican actors in their late teens, to portray our lead actors when they were late teens. The cast will be announced in the next few weeks.
