“The Example” is the fourth award winning collaboration of G Sharp Productions and CGL Studios. Set during the 1943 Beaumont Race Riot in Southeast Texas, two fathers make difficult decisions to protect their families that force them to question their morals, loyalty and manhood. The independent short film project is directed by Wyatt Cagle, written by Gordon S. Williams, and produced by Kenneth Dupuis. The ensemble cast of "The Example" includes actors Jeremy Allen, Kedrick Brown, Emma Van Lare, Marc Isaacs, Kate Robards, Evan Horsley, and Daniel Stallings.

Director Wyatt Cagle is elated that KweliTV has chosen “The Example” to be available via their platform and that the film is reaching new and broader audiences.

“The Example” has been accepted into over thirty film festivals/venues across the United States and Canada. The multi-award winning project has garnered accolades such as ‘First Place” in the Short Film Category at the Highway 61 Film Festival, “Best Drama” at The Gulf Coast Film & Video Festival, “Best Social Justice” Short Film at the Urban Mediamakers Film Festival, “Best Short Film” at the 2017 Charlotte Black Film Festival, “Best Short Drama” at the 2017 Canadian Diversity Film Festival, and “Best Short Film” at the 2017 DC Black Film Festival. In early November, the short film was named “Best Historical Fiction Short Film” at the American Filmatic Arts Awards.

Writer Gordon S. Williams is overwhelmed by the success of the project, the festivals, awards, and the platforms such as KweliTV that “The Example” is currently available to be viewed by larger audiences.
