Martinez Ca. is located 20 miles east of Oakland , 30 minutes from San Francisco, 40 minutes from the wine country.
Experience
Have spent the last 20 years as a staff photographer for the Contra Costa Times in Walnut Creek California. Responsible for shooting daily assignments for 21 company owned publications. Traveled the United States covering major news and sporting events. Had the opportunity to work with professional athletes, entertainers, musicians and potiticians from all over the world.
Freelance photographer for UPI, AP, Agence France Presse, San Francisco Chronicle, Cow Palace, San Francisco Forty Niners, Springer Publications.I trained and learned specific skills to process, print and caption photos. Worked in remote studio settings, carrying portable darkroom and transmitter as necessary. Operated and maintained in-house office and darkroom for scheduling upcoming events, billing clients, processing and printing photos.
- Active Projects
- Published a book with sports columnist Neil Hayes called, When The Game Stands Tall. A documentary on the De La Salle high school football team and their national winning streak.
A year-long documentary on the season of Mount Diablo. Captured over 7000 images, creating a 47 piece traveling gallery show.
Diane - a still photography documentary of Diane's death to breast cancer.
Bounty Hunter - a year-long project with San Francisco Bounty Hunter McKenzie Green.

- One of my all time favorite films is Spike Lee's, Doing The Right Thing, Martin Scorsese , GoodFellas and Ridley Scott's, American Gangster. I ove to watch classic episodes of the Honeymooners. Rolling Stones rock !

OHHHHHHH no... you SHOT an excellent shot of Jagger... My first cat Miguel was named after him... Of course, that was the Spanish version of his name, in my mind... LOL
I have a 7, possibly 8, pqart feature series that I am packaging at the moment. Thanks for responding to my post. I know that I will be looking for a still photographer for putting together a PR and Advertising and Marketing Package/Portfolio for my project. When everything falls together, we'll talk then.
