Sandra Shevey interviewed Alfred Hitchcock in a rare 1-2-1 interview in 1972. They spoke for 3 hrs during which Ms. Shevey queried the director about the notorious sexism and antifeminism in many of the films.
The result is a stark document. One of the last 1-2-1 interviews granted by the director the span covers misogyny, Aryanism, montage, locations, sub-text as well as Paris brothels, sex apparatus etc.

Sandra Shevey interviewed Alfred Hitchcock in a rare 1-2-1 interview for 3 hrs in 1972. Since 1999 she has been running 3 hr daily tours (11am) around film locations in London and New York.
Tours include sound bites from the famous interview; original set art (20 pieces from 1956 `The Man Who Knew Too Much`); locations from 3 classic Hitchcock films.
Along with having interviewed Hitchcock, Sandra (megastar interviewer and film historian) has interviewed many colleagues including Kim Novak, Roy Ward Baker, Gil Taylor, Jack Cardiff, Shirley MacLaine, Hugh Stewart, Betty Baskcomb and others. Sandra references the interviews on the tours.
Age 73 Sandra still runs all tours herself.
