- Hello, I was delighted to learn that
my film, "Sleeping," received an Honorable Mention in your short
film contest. This is a wonderful privilege and I want to thank you
so much for your selection and support of a small film that was
made with love for the art and craft of filmmaking. I am currently
developing my first feature film and this honor will be highlighted
with pride when I discuss the path of "Sleeping" to potential
colleagues along the way. Thank you, again, and best of luck to you
next year

- Susan, thanks for being there. I
taught high school for 15 years and even wrote a school-wide lesson
plan on communication theory for Crenshaw Senior High School here
in LA, so it was a pleasure to speak with someone who really was
present and communicated. You repeated the questions posed to you
for everyone to hear and answered each one from an authentic place
in your experience. I can't tell you how refreshing that was.
Thanks again, Jonathan Wolf

- I feel that indieProducer.net is an
extremely valuable resource for anyone out there wanting to become
a Producer. I feel that I am a great example of someone who has
been helped by it over the years. I started my career in the film
industry as a make-up artist. My husband is a director/writer and
found out about indieProducer through a contact. He took me along
to a networking event just so I could get my feet wet in business
networking. I did more than get my feet wet, I did a cannonball in
the pool!! I took the opportunity to network with other
"above-the-line" types and learn as much as I could from them. I
asked questions and made some amazing friends who have nurtured me
on my journey. I am now producing a $5M on my own!! And I feel very
confident in my ability due to the contacts I have made through
indieProducer. I am also lining up my next film for when this one
is done. Thanks to you indieProducer for making and helping all of
this to be possible!

- “I must say that on the long and
difficult road of a short film director, receiving a price from the
IP Producer Contest is like finding an oasis in the middle of a
desert. After struggling with the budget, the actors, the
postproduction, the banks, the distributors, it’s really a relief
to find a film festival who really goes beyond distributing awards
without any purpose. Meeting one to one with a producer was
certainly the most interesting reward I received with Magic Kisa
and soon after the award announcement I received a phone call from
a manager. The short is now on his way to become a feature and it
attracted the attention of TV (HBO Central Europe who bought it for
2010) as well as other film festivals. It was also for me an honor
to inaugurate the Best Foreign short award and I hope a lot of
filmmakers outside the US will follow the path. Thank you Kerry and
all the crew from the bottom of my heart.”
Sincerely, Mathieu Saliva (Magic Kisa)

- My short film, “Arithmetic Lesson,”
won the 2009 Indie Producer Best Short Film in Drama. I honor the
validation and accolade the award brought to my work. The amount of
support I have received from Kerry David has been amazing. She is
someone sincerely eager to foster new filmmakers by finding ways to
get our foot in the door. She has been actively helping me set up
meetings with managers and agents. Her energy, sincerity and
enthusiasm makes me feel hopeful about networking for my future
work. Thank you.

a great year for sure. So glad to meet you and the other IPs on
indieproducer.net in 2009. I am sure great things will happen to to

thanks to you and this site that our film “Butterflies” did so well

would never know of if it wasn't for IP so thank you very much.
Let's all keep in touch, lets see what you are working on and lets
share some awesome trailers.

Thank you so very much for putting on all these fabulous contests

was a great feeling to have our film "Text Me" be a finalist at
Indie Producer. You are so great. Thank you again for being such a
champion of Independent Film Making and for offering filmmakers
opportunities in the industry. This has been a very exciting year
for me and being a finalist of your contest is truly a thrill. Look
forward to the end of the month.
